Let me share a little bit about myself.
My journey into UX design began unexpectedly at a startup where I was tasked with designing the company's website. As I navigated through this project, I discovered the field of UX and quickly immersed myself in learning everything I could to ensure its success. I found myself fascinated by the process. I then redesigned their digital products, such as map data collection tools. It was during this time that I realized I could work on UX design for hours without feeling mentally exhausted, so I decided to pursue a career in this field.
I believe designing for human needs transcends all fields because we, as users, all benefit from better products and services. For me, UX is where creativity intersects with research-driven evidence to solve real-world problems. My time in school expanded my vision as I designed a health informatics app for domestic violence survivors and a telecare service for older adults. UX allows me to think big while grounding my ideas in practical products that make a difference.
I love understanding and deconstructing problems, conducting research to inspire confident design ideas. Collaboration is key in my process—I love brainstorming with others, gathering feedback, and continuously improving the product. I believe there’s no such thing as the best design, only better designs.
Currently, I am a UX designer at CSAA Insurance Group, where I initially worked as an intern focusing on enhancing the quoting experience. Now, I take full charge of our customer-facing applications. I communicate design ideas with all our partners to optimize user experience, including making our product more inclusive and accessible.
Outside of work, I am passionate about food, hiking, traveling, and exploring new adventures. My ultimate goal is to understand the world, others, and myself better—and to simply enjoy the journey!
